Wounded Heroes Australia
Who they are
Since 2007, Wounded Heroes Australia has been a national community organisation dedicated to supporting Australian servicemen and women and their families, to ease the financial, emotional and personal hardships of contemporary military life.
What they do
They do whatever it takes to fund support services for deployed personnel, the wounded and their families. This is principally done by providing short-term emergency relief payments to individuals and their families.
Why they do this
The men and women of the Australian Defence Force answer the call of duty selflessly and without hesitation, and forfeit much during their service to Australia. They give, risk and sacrifice more than most, and in the event of wounds or injury, their lives will never be the same again. Standing behind these young men and women are their families, silent and supportive, who get on with everyday life during their loved one’s absence, or convalescence after their return from operations. Australia owes these military personnel and their families a debt of gratitude for their service.
Why we support them
HomeFront believes that not all charities and Not For Profit organisations are created equal. We only support those organisations that provide relief for real and present hardship, operate transparently and provide value for money. Wounded Heroes Australia publishes their audits online and return 94 cents in the dollar as direct support to those under their charter. In short, HomeFront supports organisations who, like us, do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it.
